SHIFTING & TRANSFORMING SOCIAL NORMS FOR WOMEN'S ENTERPRISE GROWTH AND PRODUCTIVITY IN GOMBA DISTRICT

Community trainings/ Education

The Uganda Women’s Water Initiative (UWWI) is taking bold steps toward a more equitable and prosperous future. We are incredibly proud to lead a transformative training program centered on a vital mission:

SHIFTING & TRANSFORMING SOCIAL NORMS FOR WOMEN’S ENTERPRISE GROWTH AND PRODUCTIVITY.

Through this initiative, we are equipping 500 resilient grassroots women in Gomba with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to build thriving businesses, overcome systemic barriers, and uplift their entire communities.

To ensure sustainable growth and empowerment, our comprehensive training covers six powerful modules:

  • Module 1: Navigating the linkage of gender, social norms, attitudes, and practices to women’s businesses.
  • Module 2: Understanding gender, human rights, GBV, and accessing justice referral pathways.
  • Module 3: Leveraging legal and policy frameworks that promote women’s economic participation and employment.
  • Module 4: Engaging men as male change agents and understanding their impact on women’s business success.
  • Module 5: Mastering financial literacy for women entrepreneurs.
  • Module 6: Fostering self-awareness and mindset change to unlock true business potential.

This incredible milestone would not be possible without the unwavering support of our visionary partners. Thank you for investing in the women of Uganda and helping us drive real change at the grassroots level:

  • The World Bank
  • Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU)
  • Uganda Women’s Network (UWONET)
  • Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development

Together, we are breaking barriers, shifting mindsets, and building a generation of unstoppable female entrepreneurs!
